    One of the most famous Mayan archaeological sites in Mexico, located on cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The ruins date back to the 13th century and offer spectacular ocean views.

    Highlights include El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and a small beach below the ruins.

    Best visited early in the morning to avoid crowds and heat.
